I just got a really nice 96 Ranger, but it's so fucking annoying because I keep accidentally setting the aftermarket alarm off half the time, even though I don't try to arm it or anything. Sometimes it won't even start until I pull the key out and use the fob to unlock the already unlocked truck. I'll have to do this very soon.

It's got to be better than the crossfire (ceasefire?) fuel injection engines in the early '80's. IO had one...

Maybe it's just me, but I LOL when I saw the Monster can. It is probably the only drink that fits into those cup holders. These cars are great and probably one of the most comfortable driver's car ever. My father is 60 and still drives one. The hard part is getting in and out of the seat, but once you're seated, you can easily drive across the state without hurting your back or knees.

I recently bought a 2 owner, 65k mile 1989 coupe in white on red. It's a driver in decent condition and I feel was an absolute bargain! Every time I drive it somebody waves or is looking it over. Lots of fun on a budget!

This guy oversimplifies things almost dang criminally IMHO just to get hits ...like AS IF it is always a simple matter to just randomly choose another pair of handlbars when if fact OFTEN this will cause some serious headaches expecially is the control lines end up either too short or too long which can cause any number of heartaches and/or headaches....like if you suddenly find your bars now HIT the fuel tank for instance or the cable is not so long that it binds because there is basically a loop in it now I'm nor saying not to mess with hadlebars I am only saying that a LOT OF time it can cause very real problems....you should go on a forum for you model and fund out what others found out already Please dont just start buying stuff without first doing your homework....and PLEASE avoid doing anything just for looks which is such a noob bad reason IMHO.....any change you make ought to have a real reason actually improving some aspect that NEEDS improvement Dont be that guy that basically destroys a motorcycle for zero GOOD reason

I had a 78 s.e. ws6 w72 package , was upgraded at herb adams shop to stage 2 v.s.e performance package directly after leaving the factory ,had a.c. , auto trunk latch button in the glove box,It was repainted silver with red and black bird and firethrone red interior deluxe cloth factory reclining Recaro seats with headrests ,15x8 snowflakes , Iactually put some cheap chrome 90s rims on it , lol 1 of 4000 s.e . built that was'nt black and gold , I bought it used early 90's with 43,,000. original miles sold it in the late 90 's 😢 , in my late 20's . It was quick and handled like a dream , I used to rip that thing like burt all over the detroit area ,, i have a couple 79 z28s still since the late 90s ,but damn I miss that one still , .

Cringing at putting that car through a brush car wash. Ruined glossy black paint on the hood of my truck a few years ago doing that only a handful of times. It looked like it was scuffed and ready for primer. Other than that, very cool car, and great idea to let that SBC breathe

Ive always thought c4s were pretty cool. Seems like such a simple design. Light, aerodynamic, good handling capabilities with a decently powered fuel efficient v8 up front sending the power to the rear wheels. Can't ask for more!

I had an 89 formula 305tpi five speed that I did the honeycomb insert mod to. I found an 84 T/A that had been traded in at a local pontiac dealer and asked them if I could use the part. They told me yes as it was gonna be whole saled to someplace anyhow. It was painted yellow if I remember. So off to the auto parts store I went for some flat black spray paint. Needless to say, the underwood temp was better now that the air had somewhere to go. That blocking plate just kept the heat underhood. Don't have the car anymore but loved it while I had it. Miss it today looking at this video. Enjoy your car sir

I had an '84 HO Black and Gold T/A exactly like the one in that commercial. It was an L69, the 190 hp 5.0. I remember the vent working well. Pedal down, it would flap open and go to town. I wish I'd never gotten rid of that thing. I looked up the VIN recently (I do every now and then), and actually found the damn thing. I'd just missed it being on sale not far from here a couple months ago. 50K more miles than when I sold it and not QUITE in as good shape, but in shockingly good shape. I'm so pissed I didn't look that VIN up a couple months ago - I would have bought it back in a heartbeat.

If you really wanted to go crazy, the 1984 HO Z-28 had a dual-snorkel air cleaner. You could source one of those and then you'd have 3 access points for the intake. I was going to do this back in the day, but the deal fell through on the 84 Trans Am I was about to buy, and I ended up with an 85 TPI model instead. Love that yours is a 5-speed.

At least you tried ! Kudos to you my friend. I would try Tiger Patch Tape over that weld job. It would definitely work a lot better!!! I had nothing but amazing results with it every time I've used it!!!!! Just a thought. 😉
